Breast Surgery

  • Total breast surgical workload 01/2012 – 02/2018: 1662 procedure as follows:
  • Breast Procedure: 987 (61%) + Reconstruction Surgery 76 (5%) + Axillary Surgery 559 (34%).
  • Axillary Surgery: SLNB 395 (71%) + Axillary Clearance 93 (17%) + Completion Axillary Clearance 71 (13%).

Breast Surgery Complications (1622 procedures):

  • Haematoma: 23/1622 (1.4%)
  • Infection: 12/1622 (0.74%)
  • Seroma: 107/1622 (6.6%)

Breast Reconstruction Surgery

  • Total breast reconstruction procedures: 76.
  • Immediate recon 55 (72.4%) + Delayed recon 21 (27.6%).
  • Post op haematoma: 1/76 (1.32%).
  • Post op infection: 2/76 (2.63%).
  • Loss of prosthesis: 15/76 (19.7%): 11 (infection) + 4 (patient’s request).
